Pet Tales

Our pets feel like family members, and we grieve them the same way.  Your pet’s obituary may never make it to the local newspaper, but it can still provide an enormous amount of solace for you and any other family members or friends.

Remembering Kimi

Caring Pet Cremation Services of Virginia remembers Kimi
Kimi had been part of the family for over 15 years. She was loving and gentle to everyone. Kimi could lift anyone’s mood in her own special way. She also had a mischievous side. She loved chicken and Salisbury steak. She once stole a steak off of a tv tray and let everyone take the blame for it until the trail of gravy lead to her kennel… Although know her sprit is within out hearts, she is terribly missed. She left a void within the house. We knew we couldn’t have you forever but, didn’t expect it to be this hard when you left us. We love you “Cho-Cho”.

Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash, beloved Chihuahua and twin brother of Elvis Presley passed quietly during the night to early morning hours of December 18, 2020. He also leaves behind his best friend Brodie and his kitty cat Bandit. . He was truly loved and will be missed greatly.

Our Beloved Radar

Radar was cherished by our whole family for 12+ years and he is so missed.  He was involved in everything we did and everywhere we went.  He loved playing outside and taking walks and looking for lizzies.  He traveled with us in both the truck and the car and went visiting and camping.  He loved visiting everyone from New York to Florida.

Ken and I miss him so much.

Noah

Noah Calhoun Causey passed peacefully in his mom and dads arms under his favorite oak tree September 27th at 346p following a sudden onset of kidney failure.

His beginnings are widely speculated, but we were told he was found in a storm drain before being turned over to the Sumter SPCA. There he was blessed with the name of Jericho. after his adoption it became apparent that the name was too strong for his delicate nature and was renamed Noah (as he provided much comfort and peace).

In addition to being an avid bird watcher (and chaser), snuggling,  car rides, hoses/sprinklers, his Lamby toy(s) and sunbathing were a few of his favorite things. It is also speculated that Noah was a Medium, as it was a regular occurrence for him to sit and stare at unseen things wherever he went.

Although Noahs time on this earth was short, he packed many adventures in his 8 years of life and was rarely not by his moms side.

Some of his accomplishments included running collectively over 500 miles, living in 4 different states, (almost) swimming away with a pack of  befriended dolphins,  catching (only) 3 birds and winning the 2018 Park at Towne Lakes cutest pet contest. he was also a faithful hiking companion and loyal familiar.

Noah will be remembered by friends and family as a gentle, kind spirit with a knack for winning hearts, catching tennis balls and always having perfect hair days. his mom and dad will miss their morning walks together and his loving, faithful companionship the most.

Miya

Miya was like our second daughter; 90 lbs of Akita love and devotion that we enjoyed for almost 13 years. So smart and aware,  she waited at the end of the driveway for me to return home from work at 5 each day, so we could take our long walk. She lived a full, happy, spoiled life, but her passing is still nearly too hard to bear. 8 weeks later,  tears still flow as I write this note.   Thanks to David and Caring Pet for the respectful and compassionate service to mark her passing.

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell was taken too suddenly from us by not fault of her own as she was attacked by another dog and her wounds were too great but she fought hard to try and stay here awhile longer and give us a few more days to let her know how much we loved her her and how special she was! She had the most fabulous life a dog could have, as she ate eggs cooked every morning, and dinner prepared for her or she got to get dressed up and go through the drive thru for grilled chicken nuggets! She loved sun bathing, or a road trip! But her favorite place was with mom in front of the heater as we love to be warm!!! Our life will never be the same and I will always love you Tink Tink!!!

Magnolia Rose

My sweet Magnolia had been my girl for fifteen years. Her last day was marked for me with a deep sadness. I had to take her to a vet, as the services of at home veterinary were unavailable, because of state quarantine. I contacted David; he answered immediately and arrived at the vet at the time we had arranged. He was so professional and compassionate to me. He immediately demonstrated his professional skills, but it was filled with his love of pets, knowing how important pets are to each of us.
He brought Magnolia’s ashes to me the following day. I also received her sweet little nose print and paw print. This was so important to provide comfort to me. I was so thankful for David Nelson’s care of me and my sweet girl.

Spike

Caring Pet Cremation Services remembers Spike.
Spike was my first dog as an adult. I rescued him when he was just over a year old. Spike was a good dog. He had a few trust issues and never played fetch like a normal dog, but we found a game he loved over time. He LOVED to “steal your sock” off of your foot and be chased around the house while you yelled “give me back my sock!” He loved to sleep under the blanket and cuddled right up to you. He loved to sit outside and bask in the sun, but he loved a good snow as well. He lived with me through a divorce, helped my boys with their feelings through teen years and moved around to 8 different homes with me in his lifetime. Spike might have bitten a couple of people and maybe was a little over-protective, but he was abused as a puppy, so we worked around his issues. Everyone who visited knew to have a carrot on hand to share with Spike. And once he loved you, there was no turning that off. I loved him. He was my buddy. He was 3 months shy of 17. I hope I get to see him again someday.

Kittyhawk

My baby girl, Kittyhawk. She was often referred to as baby girl or baby squirrel. She didn’t trust many humans, but loved her family. She loved to play chase with us, hiding in rooms and sneaking up. I always loved her sideways cat walk with her back arched when it was time to play. Thank you for allowing us to be your humans for 18 years❤
