From His Kennel-
Military Working Dog Vucan B387 served almost 6 years in the United States Army before suffering an unexpected medical complication. He spent the majority of his career at Fort Lee, now Fort Gregg-Adams VA, while also serving some time overseas during a deployment to Kuwait. Vucan was made for the job. He enjoyed training each and everyday that he was able to do. While Vucan was not known to be the friendliest dog to strangers, he sure was a lover to those he knew were his people. He had a spicer side to him and you’d know when he wasn’t happy, but that was just his way of doing things. He would work until his little heart gave out if he was let to. Always ready for the next task or the next toy more like it. Even though he had a drive for work, he knew just how to relax and soak up the spoiled dog life. It’s safe to say Vucan was a true ride or die, always willing to roll with whatever. He was never one to give in easily and he showed that by fighting until the very end. He is now pain free, enjoying all the treats, toys, and love that he could ever want. Rest easy buddy, you are already deeply missed.
From His Handler-
There are no words great enough to express what I owe this dog. To say we were both rough at the start is an understatement. Green on green, as those that know say. I was his first and he was mine. Over 2 years of working together just wasn’t enough. I would keep you forever if I had the chance. My boy deserved the world. He was a hard worker but ready to relax when he knew we could. We butted heads a lot, both difficult to deal with quite often, but we taught each other so much in the time we were lucky enough to work as a team. His life was cut short due to an unexpected medical complication and that just isn’t fair. While I hate knowing he is no longer on this side, I am sure he is soaking up all the toys, treats, and love there is, now that he is pain free. Rest easy to my first partner, my headache, and my sweet boy. You are already so greatly missed.
