Caring Pet Cremation Services remembers Spike.
Spike was my first dog as an adult. I rescued him when he was just over a year old. Spike was a good dog. He had a few trust issues and never played fetch like a normal dog, but we found a game he loved over time. He LOVED to “steal your sock” off of your foot and be chased around the house while you yelled “give me back my sock!” He loved to sleep under the blanket and cuddled right up to you. He loved to sit outside and bask in the sun, but he loved a good snow as well. He lived with me through a divorce, helped my boys with their feelings through teen years and moved around to 8 different homes with me in his lifetime. Spike might have bitten a couple of people and maybe was a little over-protective, but he was abused as a puppy, so we worked around his issues. Everyone who visited knew to have a carrot on hand to share with Spike. And once he loved you, there was no turning that off. I loved him. He was my buddy. He was 3 months shy of 17. I hope I get to see him again someday.
