December 1st, 2007 to October 17th, 2021
We adopted this special little guy back in February of 2015 from a local dog rescue. Little Foot had been rescued from a hoarding situation three years prior to his adoption. At the time of his adoption there was concern that he would not adjust to living in a home. At first, we had our challenges. He did not trust us. It took a lot of patience and time for Little Foot to begin to adjust to living with us and another dog. Within a year Little Foot had become one of the most lovable and trusting dogs. Little Foot was also diagnosed with breathing issues and required frequent trips to the vet and medication for his chronic bronchitis and allergies. Despite this he was such a happy dog. Ultimately his health & breathing issues would become too much to overcome and Little Foot passed on October 17th, 2021.We will remember Little Foot for being the vocal dog in the house. He would always let us know when it was time for him to eat or if the water bowl was empty. Little Foot loved his afternoon treats, especially Greenies, and would bark at us everyday between 4:30 and 5:30pm until he received his treat. Most of all, Little Foot just wanted to be loved and always enjoyed a good cuddle. He was so affectionate and just wanted to be loved in return. The house is now too quiet without him around. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. He is the ultimate example of what happens when you show lots of love, dedication, and patience to a rescue dog. We will never forget the lessons he taught us. One day we will take on another special needs rescue dog. Every dog like Little Foot deserves a chance to live in a loving home.
