Hank gained 5lbs a week for the first year and hit 100lbs at 8 months old. At his heaviest, he was 205lbs and lived very much as a full-grown person in our house. He had a huge heart and once you were in Hank’s circle, you were forever there. He loved all his people passionately and was so kind and gentle and polite. His favorite trick was “hug and a kiss” and he would often prompt me for a hug on his own…probably so he could get a cookie! He rarely shredded his “babies” and instead chose to carry them around the house, or on walks, and sometimes trade them to me for a treat. He slept with us every night, was so careful to never step on me when he got in bed, and took his job for “nightmare duty” very seriously. Hank the mastiff was a once in a lifetime soul and we never took a moment of it for granted. We love you sweet boy.
